If he [Shiva] wants to experience her [Shakti] in her totality, he has to shed and empty half of himself so that he notices her within himself; so that he acknowledges and experiences her within himself.

It’s not him [Shiva] accommodating her [Shakti] within himself. It’s him emptying himself of himself enough to experience the already existing union of the Purusha [stillness- jada] and Prakriti [shakti – dynamism] that’s all pervasive and within him already!

Two equals don’t accommodate each other;
Each empties itself of itself enough to recognize and experience the other within.

That is the cosmic union; an integration of two into one; a dance of cosmic companions!

Ardhanarishwara is a union of Shiva and Shakti. Signifying the balance of male and female principal within each. Much like Yin and Yang.

It is an integration of duality within each. A duality that creates friction; a pull and push game, a field for the play, known as the Leela in Indian spirituality.

One experiences a sweetness of being and effortlessly flows into life when the duality is balanced and accepted as is with awareness; with love; with surrender; with devotion… instead of suppressed or violently destroyed.

Let us awaken people to seek a companionship that’s possible for each of us, but it requires risking, being vulnerable, surrendering, trusting, letting go, accepting… it demands being raw and real but in love and truthfulness, in care and openness.

There is much noise and appearances going on in the world today. Everyone is expert at perfecting a social persona but so fearful to even witness, observe, and acknowledge own fears, angst, shame, failures… to be human!

We are chasing wanting someone to fulfill us; complete us; perfect us; quiet our internal discontent, and save us from our perpetual lack rather than being and sharing our being because I am so full; I am so alive; I am so joyful; I am so loving…

Let us become the perfect beings we are seeking so that we share it joyfully and playfully!
